- Throughout the semester we have been able to experience several different forms of writing. Poetry, simple stories, rhymes. We would base them off different things like pictures, paintings or memories, even food at one point. We would write stories based upon the seasons in our journals and on our blog. Sometimes we had a part II to our assignments of reading our classmate's work, then commenting on each work and summarizing on our page what we read in our peer's writings.
- I always found it wonderful to read work done by Laura Payne and both Taylor Marshal and Denton. Marshal was always very fascinating to read because of her strong and loud opinions. She wasn't afraid to put out there what she believed. Payne had a very sweet constancy that always was refreshing and smooth. Denton managed to be the most whimsical writer I read while we were in this class, using excellent vocabulary and heavy description, I was always able to see her writing.
- I set up my blog originally very plain. I got bored with it fast. I changed it to an autumn color up until Halloween, then updated it for the season. Afterwards I changed it back to red, different though, it's a bit richer now. The name Active Dreamer wasn't really inspired, it just sorta popped into my head one day, so I wrote it down.
- As far is journaling goes, I don't know how into it I was or will be in the future, I have premature carpel tunnel an my right wrist so writing by hand is really annoying. When I do journal, it's usually pretty personal, so I'd prefer no one else see.
A Mother's Love
I walk in my home,
Just saw my horse,
Exhausting day working the play,
My mother greets me with love.
The love I'm greeted with is not just a hug,
its also the smells in the air,
Potato Leek Soup,
My favorite.
The aroma of soy sauce and cream,
Pepper and Leeks
And of course Potatoes,
Dance through the air.
As the soup simmers,
I hear the mixer,
Beating a batter,
As bananas join the mix.
My two favorite foods,
Banana bread,
Potato Leek soup,
All I needed now was apple cider.
My mother is very loving,
she shows it in many ways,
her cooking is just one of the few,
I wish I could show her too,
Just how thankful I am,
And that I love her too.- BrizoA Shepard's Dog.A scruffy face and smiling eyes,Gentle and loyal,He's young, but looks so wise.Quick to act and slow to angerHis ears are longHis nose is busy,He'll love you till he's goneOr till his face is greyHe may not be big,Though his heart is,He'll follow you forever. To the ends of the earth,Till the end of time,He'll be by your side,

- I love doing creative writing in my spare time, I've been working on a novel that I plan to publish in the future. I like to use it as an escape sometimes of what I wish my life could be like.
- This semester has been a pleasure, I've loved getting to know some of you, others I wish I could have gotten to know better. You're a good group. It's sad we won't be all together again in the same class. I hope our paths will cross again one day. Bless you all and have a Merry Christmas.

Final, blog...
The semester has been something else. I'm truly going to miss this class... The people, the crafts, the writing, and of course the laughs. I will miss it all.

Thank you for the compliment, Emma! That was so nice to know that you enjoy my writing. I remember meeting you in middle school FACS class, and here we are together again for senior year. It only seems right. Thanks for sharing your writing and being a great and funny friend in my life. I'm gonna miss you!
ReplyDeleteTo my fellow classmates; to the named and unnamed; to the jokes and jokers; to the writers and readers; to the friends and strangers... Continue on. Change nothing, no matter what anyone else says. Be what you should be, and write what you should write. You are talented, unique, creative, spectacular! You are named and unnamed; jokes and jokers; writers and readers; friends and strangers. You have a life to live and the tools necessary to record your life in any manner imaginable. You have the tools to live any life imaginable. So change nothing, regardless of what anyone else says. Ignore the fact that I, "someone else", have instructed you to not do anything anyone tells you to. You're the only one in control of your life. To my fellow classmates... Continue on.
ReplyDeleteTo my fellow writers-
ReplyDeleteIf I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to do whatever it takes for you to be happy. If you can find a way to be happy and it doesn't hurt anyone, then let go of what other people think. It's a lesson it seems it takes a lifetime to learn. I hope it isn't that way for you. I hope you can be pleased with your world and yourselves. I hope you don't forget that life is both short and long, and the only life you have is the one you make for yourself. Good luck in the pursuit of happiness, I hope you find it.
Good luck, I guess? I don't know what to put here in all honesty but hey, the stuff I've read in here has been pretty good. So I mean, there's that.
ReplyDeleteLife is meant to be lived, don't hold back and don't put any restrictions on yourself because your opportunities are limitless.
