When your heart feels cold and all light is dim, walk to the cauldron, and start to spin, a cup of toads heels, and eyes of mice, slices of lemon peel and water from only the deepest spring in the cave state. Boil the mix over a carbon flame, let it stew till the mix is obviously not he same. Once it's changed add some goat ears and love bird eggs. Your mix should be growing to a florescent purple.Let it stew some more until it begins to steam. You'll have one last ingredient, some herbal rose tea. The mix will reverse and turn green, the liquid will subdue and the steam and smoke will rise, reach your hand to the bottom and pull your surprise. Ever wonder how magicians pull rabbits from their hats? Well, only us witches know that.

Only us Witches...
A touch of beet pulp and a tub of molasses... Wait let me start over I wasn't wearing my glasses...

I was putting on my Halloween costume, when I heard something in my closet... I froze for a moment then remembered, oh yeah, I'm a witch! I'll just freeze time and see what it is. I walked to my closet and saw a nasty little creature with its teeth barred and claws barred. I jumped back and squealed. What the heck was that thing? I ran and got a net, unfroze everything, then realized something. It was the rabbit I just made... He was sneezing...

Hi, Emma!
ReplyDeleteI loved this so much! This was so creative and intelligent. I loved the way you tied the colors together and the prompt at the end. Really awesome! I think this has been my favorite thing I've read of the 'spooky stories.' Great job!
You're Beautiful,
Taylor Denton
This is so freaking cuuttte!! I love that you actually took the old "pull a rabbit out of my hat" cliché and made it totally fun! I love the witch narrator, and from just your short narration I can tell she's a scatterbrained, likable, funny person. I love the part where she sees the rabbit and comments that he was sneezing. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Emma!
ReplyDeleteWow, what an adorable piece. Interesting and unique. Plus, I like what you've done with your blog. I might've overfed your fishes (so sorry). I really enjoyed this, you really did something strange and alluring with something as normal as "pull a rabbit out of the hat." Good job!
Have a lovely night,
Zachary
What's cuter than a sneezing bunny? I really enjoyed meeting (and snuggling!) Toothless earlier this week!
ReplyDeletehaha this was fun to read. You're little rabbit is adorable, and I like how you put him in one of your blog post, also I like the creativity in the beginning.
