Brizo
A Shepard's Dog.
A scruffy face and smiling eyes,
Gentle and loyal,
He's young, but looks so wise.
Quick to act and slow to anger
His ears are long
His nose is busy,
He'll love you till he's gone
Or till his face is grey
He may not be big,
Though his heart is,
He'll follow you forever.
To the ends of the earth,
Till the end of time,
He'll be by your side,
To the ends of the earth,
Till the end of time,
He'll be by your side,
The Duel
The two studs went at it.
A duel for dominance.
The elder bay stallion,
he had been challenged.
The challenger,
a young grey stud,
played his cards smart and quick,
grasping the for leg of the elder stud.
Little does the grey know,
this is not the bay's first fight,
He jumps and latches onto the neck of the grey,
just at the base of the poll
Blood is falling from both stallions,
The crimson color of the blood flows
It blends simply into the rugged bay arabian,
Where as the grey, is defeated, glowing with stains
Another battle won for the king.

I hate to think of horses fighting, though I'm sure they must. I love the description of Brizo's nose as "busy." How perfect.
ReplyDeleteHi, Emma!
ReplyDeleteI loved the way you were able to sum up so much with just a few lines of words for each picture. The Duel really fascinated me because I've never thought about horses fighting. It's awful, but I suppose it does occur. The ending line, "Another battle won for the king." is chilling.
You're Magical!
